Once a year, The Hague general public has the opportunity to view all the grandeur of the Dutch royal family engaged in official business. This is Princes' Day (Prinsjesdag) when the Queen and her family travel with full pomp and ceremony from the palace in Noordeinde to officially open the Dutch parliament.
You could wait around all day in the street, jostling with the rest of the population to have your view and your photos include the heads of all those folk taller than you (remember this is Holland - not a good option!), or you could join us for a birds' eye view in restaurant Garoeda. We will and enjoy the spectacle while sipping refreshing beverages and partaking of Garoeda's excellent rijstaffel cuisine.
