Floralies and Canal Boat Ride
Programme for Bus trip on Thursday, 21 April 2005
Hop on the bus with your friends and head to the Floralies! Its the biggest flower show in Europe. It takes place once every 5 years. The trip will include a couple of hours at the Floralies, lunch and then a boat trip though the historic medieval city center. Ghent is a beautiful city and has a lot to offer.

7:00 am - Depart from Wassenaar (Sterrenbad)
7:30 am - Depart from The Hague (Central Station)
Programme for the day
10:00 am -Enjoy the beauty of the world-famous Floralies of Ghent 2005, www.floralien.be. Ornamental plant cultivators from several continents will put their finest flowers and plants on display in an enormous patio, set out in Flanders Expo Ghent. An 1,800 metre trail will lead the visitor through a unique symphony of scents and colours.
13:00 pm - Lunch: Home-marinated salmon with vinaigrette of honey, flowers & olive oil**Beef delicacy with spring vegetables served with a sauce of red wine**Home-made dessert with blue violets & rose water as base**Coffee or flower tea, Ghent chocolates
15:00 pm - Boat trip on the Ghent waterways, in the historical centre of the city.
16:30 pm - Depart Ghent to arrive back in The Hague and Wassenaar by 20:00 pm.
Cost:
70 for members and 75 for non-members. (Price includes bus,
entrance fee to Floralies, lunch, fee for boat ride and snack/beverage on the bus.)
